However in the 1980's, research by NASA revealed that several species of plants are capable of removing from the air these three harmful chemical compounds.
Also the air inside most buildings is very dry, and this can aggravate minor ailments such as sore eyes and throats. Levels of dust and air-borne allergens are also lower where humidity levels are higher.
